This design was to provide a new town center for this very pleasant city in western China. The design features twin linked towers which were to signify a gateway to the region. Both towers are 288 m high and are stabilized against each other by a lavish sky bridge at about 2/3 point of their height. The towers would accommodate offices, luxury housing and a top of the line hotel.
The town center also included a central outdoor retail plaza, an enclosed multi story shopping center and two service apartment towers in the north. Parking was underground in three levels.
Gerhard W. Mayer was the lead architect on the project.
